Strategy Development

Strategy development and realisation support in the following fields:

• Local and Regional Development:
  
  IC-INDUSTRIECONSULT works actively for supporting the local and regional communities by designing regional economic development concepts and strategies, municipal development plans, innovation strategies, etc. The tourism development strategies at municipal or regional level are given a special focus in the company activity.

  References

  • Development of a concept for economic growth of a region consisting of 8 municipalities. The analysis covered the following sections: agriculture, food-processing industry, industry, tourism, and infrastructure. Formulation of the main tasks and structure of the Agency for Regional Development and Investments.
  • Development of a comprehensive concept for economic development of a single municipality; assistance in the realization of the three partial adjacent concepts, identifying companies to get involved in the implementation of the strategy and special support of their activities in this respect.
  • Development of Regional Innovation Strategy for North Central and North Western Planning Regions of Bulgaria (Project financed by 6-th Framework Program of EU), co-coordinating the common activities of the 8 administrative districts in the region, the project team and the local stakeholders from various industrial sectors, universities and other related organisations.
  • Development of Regional Strategy for Economic Development of a single district. The project was financed under Loan Agreement with the World Bank in the frame of Active Services on the Labor Market Program implemented by the National Employment Agency.
  • Development of final version of a Development Plan of a single municipality for 2007-2013, in compliance with the legislative requirements and the strategic documents at national and regional level. Implementation of public debate of the Development Plan with representatives of the local and regional stakeholders.
  • Development of Regional strategy for Preservation of Cultural Heritage and Eco- and Cultural Tourism Development for a cross-border region, incl. a Communication Strategy. The project was financed by PHARE - CBC Bulgaria - Macedonia 2004.
  • Provision of specialized expert assistance for the development of Municipal Development Plans (MDP) and of Regional Development Strategies (RDS) for 2007-2013.
• Sector Development Strategies:
  
  IC-INDUSTRIECONSULT Ltd. works for increasing the competitiveness of the Bulgarian companies through design and implementation of strategies for development of certain industrial sectors. These activities are performed in joint collaboration with the respective branch organisations and associations. This process requires active involvement of leading companies from the specific sector, as well as of representatives of the central government in the face of the Ministry of Economy and Energy and other ministries and agencies.

• Company Strategies and Business Plans:
  
  IC-INDUSTRIECONSULT develops strategies for individual companies or company groups based on thorough analysis of the internal factors and the surrounding environment. In 2005 the company was approved by the Ministry of Economy to provide consultation on module 7 – Elaboration of business plans, and module 12 – Training in and support for development of project proposals, within the project "Consultancy Grant Scheme for Small and Medium Enterprises" under the PHARE Programme.
